Your sins (past, present and future) are all forgiven by the blood of Jesus. In
Romans 3:23-24) it says “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”.
Some say that only includes your past sins, however, when we consider that Jesus
paid the price in full two thousand years ago, and in order to cover for all the sins of
the whole world, He had to go into the future and cleanse the sins of everybody that
would ever live. Lets read Hebrew 10;10-22 shows us that we should not have a sin
conscience, but we should be able to draw near to the throne of grace without
wavering. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 4:16 “let us therefore come boldly to the
throne of grace, that we many obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”.
The devil reminds you of your sin to make you feel guilty, so your heart will condemn
you, because if your heart condemn you, you will not be able to come before God,
thinking He is holding a big stick over you, about to beat you down. Does this mean
you can sin because you are under grace? Paul tells us that we should not
continue in sin (Romans 6:1-16). When you continue in sin, you give place to the
devil and he will have rule over your life. When you think of yourself as a sinner,
you will be a sinner, remember Proverbs 23:7 says “as a man thinks in his heart, so
God tells us in Hebrew 10:16-17 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after
those days says the Lord, I will put My law into their hearts, and in their minds will I
write them: And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more”. God has put our
sins as far as the east is to the west. When we understand this we can come to God
and ask for help even to overcome those sins that had been holding you back. It will
cause you to have a closer relationship with God that will cause you to live a more
righteous life than you could before.
Most Christians don’t have boldness when approaching God. They come in
begging, (using no faith) however, God tells us to bring Him in remembrance of His
word. James says it like this in James 1:5-8 “if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of
God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. but
let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea
driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any
thing of the Lord. a double minded man is unstable in all his ways”. Hebrews 10:23
says “Let us hold fast the confession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful
that promised)”. Lets turn back to Hebrews 9:14 which says “How much more shall
the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to
God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God”.
